Well hello there, fellow bubble-makers and ocean addicts! If you've ever found yourself explaining to airport security why you're traveling with something that looks suspiciously like a superhero suit, or tried to convince your non-diving friends that yes, that really was a pygmy seahorse and no, it's not "just a weird piece of coral," you're in the right place.

I'm that person who plans vacations around dive sites instead of tourist attractions, who gets more excited about a good dive center than a 5-star hotel, and who has definitely used "but there's amazing muck diving there!" as a legitimate reason to visit a destination. (If you know, you know.)

From accidentally becoming besties with manta rays in Socorro to sweating through no-AC liveaboards in Raja Ampat (because who needs comfort when you have biodiversity?), to looking like a confused seal while snorkeling with orcas in the Arctic - these are my adventures in the underwater world. Fair warning: side effects of reading this blog may include spontaneous dive trip bookings and an inexplicable urge to buy more underwater camera gear you probably don't need.

So grab your logbook, settle in, and let's explore some of the world's most amazing dive destinations together. Just don't blame me when you find yourself explaining to your boss why you absolutely need three weeks off to go photograph nudibranchs in Indonesia.
